Caregivers Training
Skills and Knowledge
To ensure that our caregivers are equipped with the necessary knowledge and skills, we organize and provide caregiver training courses to our caregivers. These courses are conducted by our in-house Senior Staff Nurses who are experienced nurse practitioners. Topics covered include basic understanding of human body, common diseases of the elderly, managing the health of our elderly, safe practices and procedures, understanding aging and diseases and its effects on the physical and mental well being of patients. Course OutlineTotal course duration is 7 sessions conducted over 3.5 Sundays. Participants will receive a Course Certificate upon completion of the course and passing a course assessment.
Class 1: Understand Aging and diseases prevalent in the elderly Vital Signs monitoring (Practical) Class 2: Effective Communication with the elderly Infection control practices (Practical) About Diabetes (Practical) Class 3: Hygiene, Skin Care and Pressure Sores (Practical) Class 4: Transferring and Mobility assistance (Practical) Safety at Home and Fall Prevention Class 5: Bowel and bladder care management (Practical) Class 6: Medication management Insulin injection (Practical) NGT tube feeding (Practical) Class 7: Assessment (Practical and Written tests) |
