​​1. What is the process to hire a caregiver with Xedge?
The hiring process involves a Consultation Phase (gathering the needs of the care recipient and to provide answers to queries of the employer), a Selection Phase (interviewing and selecting a caregiver), and a Processing Phase (handling work permit application, pre-deployment medical, and settling-in-program). Our process ensures an alignment of the caregiver with the care recipient's needs. We strive to make the hiring process as seamless and efficient as possible.
​2. How does Xedge ensure compatibility between the caregiver and the recipient?
We thoroughly understand the needs of the care recipient during the consultation phase, enabling us to shortlist caregivers who are not only suitable but also align well with the recipient's requirements and personality. This ensures compatibility and hopefully fosters a healthy working relationship between the caregiver and recipient.
3. Can I interview the caregivers before making a hiring decision?
Absolutely. During the Selection Phase, we facilitate Face to Face or video interviews of shortlisted candidates to ensure you can select a caregiver that fits your requirements and expectations.
4. What happens if there are issues or conflicts with the caregiver after placement?
Xedge prioritizes client satisfaction and peace of mind. In the event of any issues or conflicts, we encourage you to communicate openly with the caregiver and us promptly. Our team will work diligently to assist to resolve the situation, which may involve providing guidance to the caregiver or facilitating a replacement if necessary.
5. How cost-effective is hiring a live-in caregiver through Xedge?
The salary of a live-in caregiver from Xedge typically ranges from $650 to $950 monthly, providing a sustainable long-term care solution. Depending on your eligibility, you might qualify for governmental grants such as the Home Caregiving Grant and the Pioneer Generation Disability Assistance Scheme to further offset costs. Our agency fee is market competitive, transparent with no hidden charges.
​6. What is the salary range for live-in caregivers, eldercare helpers, and private nurses?
- Live-In Caregiver Salary: $650 to $950 per month
- Eldercare Helper Salary: $600 to $750 per month
- Private Nurse Salary: $900 to $1500 per month
7. What levy concession is available for hiring a Migrant Domestic Worker?
Levy Concession allows you to receive a concessionary rate of $60 per month under specific qualifying criteria related to living with young children, elderly persons, or persons with disabilities who are Singapore citizens. Further details are available on the MOM page.

- Caregivers Training Grant (CTG): A $200 annual subsidy for caregivers to attend approved courses.
- Pioneer Generation Disability Assistance Scheme (PioneerDAS): A $100 monthly payout for Pioneers with disabilities.
- ElderShield: Insurance scheme providing payouts upon severe disability, provided policyholders meet the conditions.
- CareShield Life: A long-term care insurance scheme providing financial protection against severe disability, with payouts starting at $600 per month.
